Defending champions Ivory Coast play Burkina Faso at the Marrakesh Stadium in Marrakesh, Morocco on Tuesday for their clash in the last 16 of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Elephants began their campaign with a slender 1-0 win over Mozambique, before a 1-1 draw with Cameroon. On matchday three, Gabon stunned them by going 2-0 up as the holders risked an early exit, but then produced an incredible comeback to win the tie 3-2 and progress into the knockout stages as Group F winners.

Burkina Faso reached the knockout stages for the fourth edition in a row after coming second in Group E, finishing three points behind Algeria.
The Stallions began their campaign with a late 2-1 comeback win over Equatorial Guinea as Georgi Minounogu and Edmond Tapsoba struck in stoppage time, although they had no such luck against the Algerians, who rode on a Riyad Mahrez penalty to see them off.
But the west African side recovered from the loss to beat Sudan 2-0 in their last group fixture as goals from Lassine Traore and Kan Kouassi earned them a place in the last 16.
