That said, let’s take a look at the teams that you should use to clear Honkai Star Rail 3.8 Pure Fiction, Epic Collection:

Best teams for Node 1

Hysilens, Kafka, Aventurine, and Black Swan

One of the best teams to clear the first node of HSR 3.8’s Pure Fiction is this Hysilens, Black Swan, and Kafka DoT team (with Aventurine as the sustainer). Since Hoolay, along with some others, is weak to the Physical Element, Hysilens’ addition is exceptionally impactful.

Here, Kafka can easily produce damage with the DoT debuffs that are already placed on the adversaries by Hysilens and Black Swan. Lastly, make sure to use the Solo Symphony buff when you are using this team.

Firefly, The Dahlia, Fugue, and Lingsha

As all enemies of Node 1 are weak to the Fire Element, this Firefly Super Break team is exceptionally effective. Although both The Dahlia and Fugue are support units, they can deal a significant amount of damage, help Firefly out a lot. While Lingsha works as a healer, she can also deal quite a bit of Break damage.

Here, Firefly can easily deplete Hoolay’s HP by continuously dealing Super Break DMG. Moreover, use the Ravings buff.

Phainon, Cerydra, Bronya, and Dan Heng Permansor Terrae

Although there aren’t many options, Hoolay is weak to the Physical Element. Hence, this Phainon hypercarry team is an optimal pick. He can deal absurd damage with his abilities. Moreover, Cerydra nd Bronya can boost that DMG and allow the unit to clear waves of enemies quickly.

Here, Dan Heng Permansor Terrae can easily deal a decent bit of damage with his Souldragon. Moreover, when Phainon is in the Soulscorch state, Permansor Terrae’s shield will not disappear, making the Destruction unit a bit more tanky. The Solo Symphony buff pairs well with this team.

Best teams for Node 2

The Herta, Anaxa, Tribbie, and Dan Heng Permansor Terrae

Moving on to Node 2, you will face the Abundant Ebon Deer and its summons. To clear the stage, you can use The Herta dual DPS team featuring Anaxa, as it can easily clear multiple waves of enemies without batting an eye. Tribbie’s role in this composition is also important, since she can grant RES PEN buffs to her allies. Dan Heng Permansor Terrae can boost The Herta’s ATK while also giving every ally shields.

If you are using this team, make sure to use the Solo Symphony buff.

Castorice, Cyrene, Evernight, and Hyacine

Since the Abundant Ebon Deer is weak to the Quantum Element, this Castorice team is the best one to tackle node 2. The aforementioned unit, alongside her memosprite, can deal a significant amount of damage to all enemies and deplete their HP bar.

Evernight helps Castorice out with her memosprite, Evey, by dealing a decent bit of damage. On the other hand, Cyrene can make the latter’s Newbud charges overflow, boosting Netherwing’s damage by a substantial amount. Ensure the Ballad buff is activated.

Archer, Tribbie, Dan Heng PT, and Sparkle

If you don’t have a good Castorice team, you can use this Archer composition. Although this collaboration character consumes a significant number of Skill Points, we have paired him with Sparkle. The latter can regenerate SPs and hold seven of them while fighting. Tribbie helps Archer out with her RES PEN buffs and occasional follow-up attacks.

Lastly, Dan Heng Permansor Terrae saves every unit in this composition with his Shields, while also boosting Archer, ATK to a certain extent. Use the Solo Symphony buff if you are using this team.
